November 5th, 2015, Germany IKA’s global sales director, Baojian Liu(Michael) came to Guangzhou Lubex and gave guidance. After discussion with Lubex manager, Michael also took the time to share his experience, about dream, about work.
Founded in 1910, IKA has been committed to the research and design of high-quality laboratory equipment, thermal analysis instruments and mixed dispersion equipment, including magnetic stirrer, overhead stirrer, dispersion homogenizer, mixer, bed temperature, grinding machine, rotary evaporator, heating plate, calorimetry, laboratory reactor, etc. Through years of unremitting efforts, IKA products have spread over 100 countries and regions in the world. IKA group has become the leading global leader around the world.
Baojian Liu (Michael), joined IKA in August 2010, as a Calorimeter Sales Director in China region. Three years later, Michael officially promoted to IKA global sales director, which is such rare.
In the experience sharing session, Michael said that he used to be a shy boy, who was not good at getting along with people. However, he has a dream of being a great manager, that makes him trying hard to build his capabilities.
Lots of people have their dreams, but few of them do for it. What we need is implementation capacity, and we should learn how to assess our value and build our capabilities, which is not easy. If not, your dream will always be unreachable.
Michael refers to a very interesting method of calculating wages:
Assuming you get paid 10K yuan, according to your work ability like English skills, office software skills and so on, subtract 1K in your salary if you aren’t proficient at it. How much can you get paid?
Michael also stressed that, always think big. We should be a perfectionist. We should find out what this thing is doing for and don’t just do things for this little thing. You aren’t working for anyone, you are working for yourself! Enlarge your pattern and think big!
"What kind of person do you want to be in your job?" Michael gives us such an answer, being a good worker should always be thirst for knowledge, keep passion, be good at using resources, keep promise, good at team work, has the courage to challenge and an open, optimistic attitude.
